Virginia Beach, VA – 28 Mar, 2019 – Vectrona has been awarded a prime contract to provide expeditionary Defensive Combat Operations (DCO) training for Beachmaster Unit Two (BMU-2). Vectrona’s training cadre will provide instruction on defensive capabilities to prepare BMU-2 for deployed Noncombat Operations (NCO) in permissive and semi-permissive environments. The award further demonstrates and enhances Vectrona’s deep capabilities in Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training.
“It’s incredibly rewarding to help prepare young Sailors for expeditionary deployment in uncertain environments and performing hands-on live training directly enhances our ability to deliver compelling augmented, virtual and mixed-reality training solutions in diverse contexts,” said Joe Gelardi, Vectrona CEO.
The DCO program of instruction includes small arms weapons training on the M4/16, M9, M240, M203 and M500 weapon systems, as well as tactical movement, security during beach operations, land navigation and extraction during hostile engagements.
