Background: Vectrona is seeking a Program Manager to provide overall leadership, coordination, and execution of a large-scale program supporting Vectrona operational and contractual objectives. This role provides strategic direction and day to day oversight for approximately 100 personnel across multiple functional areas and locations. The Program Manager serves as the primary point of contact for internal leadership and external stakeholders, ensuring program performance, compliance, and mission success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide overall program leadership and management for a workforce of approximately 100 employees
  • Oversee program planning, execution, performance metrics, and deliverables to ensure contractual requirements are met or exceeded
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Vectrona leadership, government or client representatives, and subcontractors
  • Manage staffing levels, workforce planning, and personnel performance in coordination with functional leaders
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor program budgets, schedules, risks, and resources to maintain cost, schedule, and performance objectives
  • Conduct regular program reviews, briefings, and status reports for senior leadership and customers
  • Support business development efforts including proposal input, staffing plans, and transition activities
  • Travel to program sites and customer locations as required to support operations and stakeholder engagement

Preferred Education/Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Engineering, or a related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience managing large scale programs or projects with 50 or more personnel
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to manage cross functional teams in a dynamic operational environment
  • Experience working with government or regulated contracts preferred

Serious Game Developer

Position/Job Title: Serious Game Developer  

Status: Full Time 

Location: Remote or Virginia Beach  

Start date: ASAP

Background: Vectrona is developing cutting-edge AI/ML-based modeling & simulation systems, serious games, and 3D data visualization solutions to help warfighters train and operate. We require a skilled Serious Game Developer to support development, deployment, and operation of our training systems. The Serous Game Developer will work with the software development team in the creation of multiple software projects to ensure program objectives are accomplished. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with senior developers and subject matter experts to understand requirements and design specifications. 
  • Implement game mechanics, user interfaces, and interactive features from software architecture documents using .NET and Unity. 
  • Integrate with backend systems, to manage user data, progress tracking, and analytics. 
  • Integrate multimedia assets into the game environment. 
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following established coding standards and best practices. 
  • Collaborate with QA testers to identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and other technical problems. 
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes and techniques. 

Preferred Education/Degree:  

  • BS in computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Demonstrated expertise in C# programming language and .NET framework. 
  • Demonstrated experience with serious game simulations 
  • Proficiency with the Unity engine; and the Unity UI toolkit or HTML/XAML. 
  • Strong understanding of modern software development practices, Git version control and collaborative development workflows 
  • Experience in organizing or conducting in game Jams or similar collaborative projects, or personal projects. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, motivation to maintain and improve development standards. 
  • Ability to succeed in dynamic and demanding environment.

Joint Events Coordinator

Position/Job Title: Joint Events Coordinator 

Status: Full-Time, Contingent Upon Award 

Location: Herbert R. Temple Army National Guard Readiness Center, Arlington, VA (some work at the Pentagon)

Travel: Required; estimated 6–8 CONUS trips per year to support exercises and National Guard events 

Background: Vectrona is seeking a Joint Events Coordinator to provide planning and documentation support for National Guard Bureau (NGB) J5-J participation in strategic exercises and major events. This role ensures that the J5-J Division is well-represented in forums such as the Joint Exercise Working Group (JEWG) and NGCC operations. The coordinator tracks exercise schedules, attends key events, and delivers timely documentation, including meeting minutes and After-Action Reports (AARs). 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate with J5-J staff to plan and track participation in strategic-level exercises (e.g., Vigilant Guard, NGCC events)
  • Attend initial planning, in-progress review, and final rehearsal meetings as directed
  • Capture discussions, action items, and leadership decisions in clear and timely meeting minutes
  • Prepare After-Action Reports (AARs) following exercise events and real-world activations
  • Maintain a calendar of relevant joint training and exercise events, and communicate upcoming participation requirements
  • Collaborate with interagency and Combatant Command partners as required
  • Ensure NGB equities are appropriately documented during exercise development and evaluation phases
  • Monitor NGCC activation support requirements and coordinate information flow during response operations

Preferred Education/Degree:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Emergency Management, or related field
  • Military or civilian training in exercise planning, facilitation, or emergency operations is preferred

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications: 

  • 4+ years of experience supporting joint exercises, operational planning, or event coordination in a federal or military setting
  • Familiarity with large-scale homeland defense and DSCA exercises, including planning timelines and documentation formats
  • Demonstrated ability to produce fast-turn, high-quality summaries and reports
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex schedules and participation requirements
  • Experience supporting crisis operations centers or interagency coordination meetings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaborative platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Background: Vectrona is seeking a Strategic Coordination Specialist to provide critical documentation and coordination support to the NGB J5-J Division. This role ensures accurate and timely production of executive summaries, meeting agendas, and action trackers for internal and interagency engagements. The specialist works closely with planners and analysts to document outcomes from meetings, workshops, and working groups, maintaining the integrity of task tracking in support of operational continuity. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Draft, edit, and finalize executive summaries (EXSUMs) for J5-J events and engagements within defined timelines
  • Prepare meeting agendas, track attendance, and support meeting setup and logistics
  • Record and summarize discussions, decisions, and action items from working groups, reviews, and engagements
  • Maintain action item logs and coordinate with task owners to track progress and close out suspense items
  • Assist with calendar management and meeting scheduling for key J5-J events
  • Collaborate with analysts and planners to ensure documentation aligns with strategic planning objectives
  • Format and route documentation in accordance with NGB correspondence standards
  • Support ad hoc documentation tasks as assigned by senior staff or government leads

Background: Vectrona is seeking a Defense Strategy Analyst to support the NGB J5-J in maintaining situational awareness and analytical insights into national-level strategies, defense guidance, and think tank outputs. This position is responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and synthesizing strategic documents from the Department of Defense (DoD), Joint Staff, and interagency sources. The analyst identifies implications for National Guard equities and contributes to the strategic foresight needed to inform CNGB decision-making. 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct in-depth reviews of strategic documents, including NDS, NMS, UCP, JSCP, and related planning guidance
  • Assess updates to DoD and Joint Staff publications for potential impact on National Guard roles and responsibilities
  • Track and monitor think tank, academic, and policy events relevant to the Guard’s strategic posture
  • Draft concise information papers and executive summaries capturing policy changes, risks, and opportunities
  • Conduct comparative analysis of historical and emerging guidance to identify trends and shifts in strategic direction
  • Maintain awareness of classified and unclassified strategy developments and ensure proper dissemination
  • Support briefing material development for CNGB and senior leadership based on strategic document findings
  • Participate in working groups or strategic planning events as needed to provide analytic input

Preferred Education/Degree:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in National Security Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic policy analysis, defense planning, or intelligence analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize large volumes of complex documents into concise, actionable insights
  • Familiarity with major DoD strategy documents, including NDS, NMS, UCP, JSCP, and campaign planning frameworks
  • Excellent written communication skills, particularly in the production of information papers and briefings
